E. Nikolas Tavlarios
Description E. Nikolas Tavlarios has served as our President since December 2006. From 2003 to 2006, Mr. Tavlarios served as Vice President of General Maritime Management LLC, a tanker operating subsidiary of General Maritime where he oversaw business development and maintained relationships with commercial representatives of major oil companies. From 2000 to 2003, Mr. Tavlarios was Vice President of Sales and Administration at Universal Services Group. From 1998 to 2000, Mr. Tavlarios served as Executive Director of Rockefeller Center for Tishman Speyer Properties. Prior to 1998, Mr. Tavlarios was a Surveyor for the American Bureau of Shipping. Mr. Tavlarios is a member of the American Bureau of Shipping and of the Det Norske Veritas (DNV) North American committee. Mr. Tavlarios holds a bachelor's degree in marine transportation from State University of New York Maritime College and a master's degree in business administration from St. John's University.
